The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers and Arizona Wildcasts hope to start off their runs in Omaha on the right foot, as they both open their NCAA Men’s College World Series schedules on Friday afternoon.

Coastal Carolina has continued winning even after the retirement of coach Gary Gilmore. The Chanticleers are in the College World Series for the second time.

Coastal Carolina baseball has officially made Omaha its home for what everyone hopes will be the next 11 days. The Chanticleers have been in Omaha for a little more than 24 hours and will look to get off on the right foot when they face Arizona at 2 p.

The Chanticleers have made the College World Series twice (and won a national championship) since the last time Clemson or USC advanced.

Guevara was sidelined for the final two games of last weekend's regional after injuring his knee on an RBI single from Ike Irish against Central Connecticut State. Belyeu played in the regional finale against NC State. He went 0 for 3 but reached base twice, with a walk and hit by pitch.
