A strong earthquake in Russia triggered a tsunami advisory that has since been canceled for San Diego County coastal areas and the entire West Coast.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii has lifted the tsunami advisory that was in place for San Diego and Orange counties but has left it in effect for other areas of the California coastline.

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Overnight video of Half Moon Bay in Northern California showed water bouncing back and forth causing boats to bob after an 8.8 magnitude earthquake rattled Russia, triggering a tsunami advisory along the California coast.
