More than 150 were arrested at immigration enforcement protests in San Francisco's Financial District Sunday evening, with police officers injured and significant property damage left behind, authorities said.

SAN JOSE — Hundreds of people gathered Monday evening in San Jose, Oakland and San Francisco to protest deportation efforts by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, as well as to stand in solidarity with protesters in Southern California.

Hundreds of people protested outside the San Francisco ICE offices Sunday evening and around 60 were arrested.

San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie and city officials announced preparations for more protests after police arrested 154 people Sunday night when an anti-ICE demonstration turned violent on city streets.

President Donald Trump and his administration increased efforts to round up immigrants and deport those without documentation, causing protests around the country and California, specifically in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area.
