Hi - would love to do this trip but am concerned about walking on the glacier as I am in the final stages of recovery from a ACL injury. Can you just canoe and not actually walk on glacier?

I believe you can but it may be a different tour. I would not recommend getting on the ice if you’re still recovering

Our Mendenhall Glacier Ice Adventure Tour is 5.5 hours long, one of the most extensive glacier explorations available in Juneau. So you’re chances of seeing ice caves and other unique glacier features are much higher than with shorter tours. Guest have posted many photos and reviews from when our tours are able to enter stable ice caves. But melt features like ice caves come and go sporadically, and are not to be expected on a normal tour.
